Toastmasters Leadership Institutes
Twice a year—summer and winter—District 48 members gather for Toastmasters Leadership Institutes (TLIs). Each of these half-day sessions is filled with opportunities to learn more about the specific responsibilities of each club officer role as well as best practices for high quality clubs and peak member experiences.
It’s not only club officers who attend, either. Many members attend TLIs regularly for their own leadership enrichment. Then there is the legendary Toastmaster camaraderie which in itself is a draw. Like-minded self-learners and leaders enjoy getting together.
On the practical side, clubs earn one of the 10 points in the Distinguished Club Program when a minimum of four club officers are trained at both of the semi-annual TLIs.
